BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Pancake Thomas hit a game-tying 3-pointer as time expired in the first extra period, and the WKU men’s basketball team outlasted Kentucky Wesleyan for a 103-97 double overtime victory Saturday in exhibition play at E.A. Diddle Arena.
WKU improved to 55-4 all-time in exhibition games with two preseason victories this season under first-year coach Rick Stansbury. The Hilltoppers also defeated Campbellsville 87-79 on Tuesday in exhibition action.
Saturday’s victory over Kentucky Wesleyan was WKU’s 22nd straight in exhibition tune-ups dating back to a 2002-03 loss to the Harlem Globetrotters.
