The Hilltoppers, who have won five of their last seven games, will now turn their attention to their second season in Conference USA when they face Marshall on Sunday.
Brescia led early but the Hilltoppers charged back to go ahead 45-39 at the break. Johnson slammed home a dunk to start the second half during an 18-4 run and Western Kentucky led 63-43 at the 14:06 mark.
