Forrest Lamp will have to wait at least another night for his NFL career to begin.
The former Western Kentucky offensive lineman wasn’t picked Thursday in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He was hoping to become the first Hilltopper to earn that distinction.
The only two O-linemen selected Thursday were Utah offensive tackle Garrett Bolles (No. 20, Denver Broncos) and Wisconsin offensive tackle Ryan Ramczyk (No. 32, New Orleans Saints).
The second and third rounds will take place Friday night starting at 6 p.m. CDT. Lamp goes into the night ranked as the best available player by ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper.
