The Lady Toppers (3-3) began play with an 8-6 loss to Austin Peay before falling to Missouri State in the nightcap, 11-3.
Sophomore Hannah Parker had the first three-hit performance of her career to go along with a pair of runs against Austin Peay. Freshman Kelsey McGuffin added two hits, while Taylor Proctor drove in two runs.
Sophomore Kelsey Jernigan (0-2) took the loss after giving up three earned runs in four innings.
In the nightcap, Missouri State mustered 17 hits in its convincing win.
