Lady Tops score tennis sweep over Belmont

The victory over the Bruins now moves head coach Jonatan Berhane to 3-0 against BU, including all on the road in Nashville.

WKU began Saturday’s match by winning the doubles point. Seniors Andreanna Christopoulou and Elpida Malamou beat BU’s Lindsey Whitehead and Kendall Warren at the No. 1 spot, 6-0. The freshman duo of Cindy Oest and Natalia De Ugarte followed suit by outlasting BU’s No. 2 pair, 7-5, to clinch the doubles point.

After capturing the doubles point, Christopoulou beat Laura Kent in singles 6-4, 6-4. Malamou followed by keeping her 17-match winning streak alive, beating Whitehead 6-1, 6-1.
