Visiting Old Dominion scored an early goal and held on for a 1-0 women’s soccer win Friday over Western Kentucky in the regular-season finale at the WKU Soccer Complex.
WKU’s Olivia Fitzgerald, Iris Dunn, Makenzie Costner, Caitlin Hesse, Haley Baldridge and Dee Dee Green were each honored prior to the match as part of the Senior Night festivities to recognize their contributions to the program.
For Old Dominion (6-11 overall, 4-5 Conference USA), Iris Achterhof had the game-winning goal in the 13th minute. Goalkeeper Krista Moisio played the full 90 minutes for the Monarchs, earning the shutout while making one save.
