Despite the loss, WKU still earned at least a share of the C-USA regular-season title for the fourth-straight season. Three Lady Toppers finished with double-digit kills on the night as Alyssa Cavanaugh (19), Rachel Anderson (18) and Sydney Engle (10) led the way.
After splitting the regular-season title with UTSA during its first year in C-USA, WKU has since claimed three more league titles including at least a share of this year’s crown. If North Texas takes down Middle Tennessee on Saturday, the Mean Green and Lady Toppers will share the title.
WKU has closed the 2017 regular season with a 27-3 overall record, including a 13-1 mark in C-USA matchups.
