Western Kentucky's volleyball team earned a pair of victories Friday in the Best Western Sycamore Inn Invitational in Miami, Ohio.
Three-time All-American Alyssa Cavanaugh put up a pair of double-digit kill performances on the day, leading WKU with 16 against Southern Illinois and adding 12 more in the nightcap. Junior Rachel Anderson put up big numbers as well, leading the Lady Toppers in the second match with 17 kills and hitting a collective .409 on the day.
WKU opened with a 3-0 (26-16, 25-18 25-17 win over Southern Illinois, then picked up a 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 25-27, 25-19) victory over host Miami (Ohio).
