Lady Toppers Stay Hot Knocking Off Chattanooga, 4-1

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --WKU Tennis put together a fine performance Friday evening at the Manker Patten Tennis Club as the Lady Toppers won their fifth-straight match defeating Chattanooga, 4-1.

WKU (11-4) played its final road battle of the regular season, tallying a 7-3 away mark on the year.

To start doubles play, the duo of Monica Malinen and Violetta Shatalova won on court three, 6-3, to improve their record to 5-1 when working together. The Mocs (12-5) responded at the No. 1 spot by a score of 6-3, though. With all eyes on court two, freshmen Cindy Oest and Natalia De Ugarte executed with the pressure on and outlasted Chattanooga's Delaney Edwards and Syndey Patton, 7-5, to clinch the doubles point.
