Western Kentucky’s women’s basketball team has a trend of a different player making a noticeable impact off the bench each week.
Smith came through with her best two-game stretch this season in WKU’s recent trip to UTEP and UTSA.
WKU (15-6 overall, 7-2 Conference USA) may have split that trip with a win at UTEP and loss at UTSA, but Smith provided a fresh presence to the Lady Toppers’ scoring arsenal.
Smith scored a season-high 17 points off the bench at UTSA two days after scoring nine points at UTEP.
“Just having confidence and hustling, that’s what got me into my flow,” Smith said on Tuesday.
