The Lady Toppers held Texas-San Antonio to 20 percent shooting and bounced back with another dominant Conference USA win, 73-38, in front of 3,887 students in attendance for WKU’s annual Education Day matinee Thursday at E.A. Diddle Arena.
WKU (13-5 overall, 4-1 C-USA) allowed just 15 points in the second half, turned 25 UTSA turnovers into 19 points and earned its second win in three games by at least 35 points.
The Lady Toppers entered Thursday’s game having allowed 79 points at Alabama-Birmingham last Saturday where they were outscored 22-7 in the fourth quarter.
Four Lady Toppers combined for 64 points between Ivy Brown (19 points), Tashia Brown (17), Elgedawy (13) and Dee Givens (15).
