Fueled by 921 of the Hilltopper faithful in the stands, the Lady Topper volleyball team rolled to a 3-1 win (25-15, 25-17, 20-25, 25- 21) over North Texas to claim their fourth-straight conference title on Sunday afternoon at Diddle Arena.
Just one week and three days after falling to North Texas on the road, WKU used a blazing hot start and a nearly impenetrable defense to stun the Mean Green from the first serve and earn an automatic bid in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
“Looking up in the crowd, you did not expect Diddle Arena to be that packed for a volleyball game,” senior Alyssa Cavanaugh said.
