Lady Toppers ready 'go back and correct' following UT Arlington loss

Western Kentucky women’s basketball coach Michelle Clark-Heard wants to put to bed any preconceived ideas that the Lady Toppers can step on the floor and beat anyone based on their own experience and depth.

The reality is WKU was slow to respond when challenged in a 71-68 loss to UT Arlington on Wednesday night in E.A. Diddle Arena. The Lady Toppers struggled in the young season’s first true test and didn’t find much help from its bench.

WKU isn’t getting the luxury of cupcake matchups to start the nonconference – they already made the most of that opportunity with an exhibition game and blowout win against a rebuilding Alabama A&M team.
