Lady Toppers host No. 1 team in Division-II Saturday

Western Kentucky will put an emphasis on defensive focus and ball control from veterans for its final nonconference game.

And the Division-II school coming to Diddle Arena on Saturday night could be a tougher test than some Division-I opponents the Lady Toppers have faced.

WKU’s last game before starting the Conference USA schedule features a Union (Tenn.) team that has yet to lose and ranks atop the Division-II rankings.

But now Union (12-0) is the senior-laden team and WKU (5-8) is the one still learning and working to form the right lineup before starting C-USA play Jan.
