Lady Toppers host defensive UAB squad for Education Day

The ability to make quick adjustments on the road helped Western Kentucky split its first two Conference USA contests away from E.A. Diddle Arena.

The Lady Toppers went from allowing one player to run rampant on them in Charlotte to shutting down one of the nation’s most dangerous scorers at Old Dominion.

Add that individualized focus in with a general quick-fix approach in a fast turnaround game and WKU coach Michelle Clark-Heard likes her team’s response to the early conference schedule.

WKU’s theme of playing as a fist seems to be working so far, and now they’ll pit that fist against one of the league’s best defenses.
