The Lady Toppers (30-3) will go to Lexington and face Notre Dame (22-9) at 4 p.m. CST Friday in a first-round NCAA match at Memorial Coliseum, it was revealed Sunday night.
The first round of the NCAA Tournament is conducted by 16 host sites, which coincide with national seeds. Kentucky earned a No. 4 national seed by going 26-3 and winning the Southeastern Conference championship.
This will mark the second time WKU stays within Kentucky’s borders – the team lost 3-1 to No. 9 Louisville in Louisville in 2005.
