WKU (10-4 overall, 1-0 Conference USA) was held to its lowest scoring production of the season after entering Thursday averaging a C-USA best 77.8 points per game.
The Lady Toppers shot 20-of-59 (.339) from the floor and 4-for-16 (.250) from the 3-point line. But the defense was better in holding MTSU to a 32.5 percent clip from the field and 2-for-10 from behind the arc.
WKU never trailed thanks to Bopp’s opening 3-pointer. She and Ivy Brown each finished with 10 points and Tashia Brown, the country’s fourth-leading scorer at 23.6 points per game, saw her 20-point game streak come to an end with a game-high 17 points.
