SAN FRANCISCO —WKU Tennis won its second match in the Golden State as the Lady Toppers won comfortably, 6-1, over San Francisco at the California Tennis Club Sunday evening.
Senior Elpida Malamou racked up her 10th victory of the season. The Greece native now boasts an unblemished 10-0 record, including six wins at the No. 1 spot.
WKU (8-3) began Sunday’s match by winning the doubles point, its seventh time this spring. At the No. 3 spot, the pair of Violetta Shatalova and Monica Malinen took down the Dons’ (2-8) duo of Alisha Sharma and Sarina Chhabra, 6-1, marking their third-straight win when working together.
