It was just two weeks ago when Michelle Clark-Heard said she believed her Western Kentucky team could play better defensively after dominating Middle Tennessee. That night on Jan. 4, WKU held the Conference USA preseason favorites to 43 points and 32.5 percent shooting overall, but 15 percent in the first half.

Hard as it is to believe a team could play better, the Lady Toppers only took four games to prove it definitely could top it.
