The Lady Topper guard/forward, who played just one season at WKU, announced in a blog post Sunday she is quitting basketball due to ongoing knee complications. The university confirmed Rogers’ announcement Sunday night.

Rogers started 25 of the 26 games she played as a redshirt junior last year averaging 8.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. She became eligible on Dec. 11 against Louisville after sitting out for a year since transferring from the University of Kentucky.

The 6-foot-2 Lebanon native had a season-high 18 points against FIU in January.

In her blog post, Rogers laid out a detailed history of her continuous battle through illness and knee surgeries throughout her college career.
