Forward Justin Johnson became the 49th 1,000-point scorer in Hilltopper basketball history. The junior reached that milestone in the first half of WKU’s 84-79 loss to Marshall at E.A. Diddle Arena.
“It’s definitely a personal goal coming here,” Johnson said. “As a kid you dream of scoring 1,000 in high school and then to do it in college, glory to God for that for letting me stay healthy for three years.
“That’s a personal accomplishment for me, but I’m still just trying to win basketball games. I’m trying to do what I can do to help this team win basketball games.
