In-state lineman Lankford decommits from WKU

Lexington Catholic High School offensive tackle Woodford Lankford tweeted that “his recruiting has opened back up.”

Lankford committed over the summer to former coach Jeff Brohm. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder from Paris is a 247Sports Composite three-star recruit ranked No. 1,947 overall the Class of 2017, No. 175 among offensive tackles in his class and No. 15 among Kentuckians in his class.

Lankford’s other reported offers include Ball State, Bowling Green, Miami (Ohio), Toledo and FCS program Eastern Kentucky.

Lankford’s decommitment leaves WKU with 16 known Class of 2017 commits. The group now includes three offensive linemen and three Kentucky natives.
