The WKU volleyball program announced on Tuesday that head coach Travis Hudson and four Lady Toppers have garnered AVCA South Region recognitions following the 2017 season.
Following his 23rd season, Hudson has been named Region Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. Hudson has been named as such on five occasions (2017, ’16, ’12, ’05 and ’02).
Alyssa Cavanaugh and Jessica Lucas become the second and third players in WKU history to receive AVCA All-Region honors during each of their four years on the hill, joining the team’s only four-time All-American in Megan Argabright.
Cavanaugh earned South Region Player of the Year after owning the second-best hitting percentage in the nation (.
