Hopkins lifts Lady Toppers over Lipscomb in final exhibition match of spring

WKU women’s soccer pulled out their first unofficial win of the spring season taking down long-time rival Lipscomb in their second and final exhibition of the preseason.

Freshman midfielder Annah Hopkins lifted the Lady Toppers over Lipscomb, scoring the lone goal of the match Tuesday evening in Nashville, Tennessee.

Freshman midfielder Brina Micheels picked up the assist on Hopkins’ goal. This is Hopkins’ first college season following an impressive high school career in Evansville, Indiana, with 23 goals.

WKU’s offense outshot Lipscomb 9-8 in the exhibition match. Three of those shots were pulled off by WKU junior defender Chelsea Moore.
