Hilltoppers set to host Middle in packed Diddle

Western Kentucky, currently the first-place team in Conference USA, will host its archrival and the two-time defending league champion Saturday night. Middle Tennessee will visit a packed E.A. Diddle Arena for a 6 p.m. tip-off, with the game broadcast online at watchstadium.com.

The Hilltoppers (14-5, 6-0 C-USA) expect a sellout crowd for their matchup against the Blue Raiders (13-5, 5-1). A win would be the eighth straight overall for WKU, and would keep the Toppers alone atop the C-USA table.

“I don’t have to tell our players about Middle Tennessee,” WKU coach Rick Stansbury said Thursday, shortly after the Hilltoppers beat Alabama-Birmingham 77-69.
