Western Kentucky lacked mental focus Saturday at Texas-San Antonio. The outcome was a 74-63 loss – a result coach Rick Stansbury ranked alongside a Dec. 10 setback at Ohio as one of the Hilltoppers’ two worst performances of the year.
Now WKU (16-7 overall, 8-2 Conference USA) will look for a return to form Thursday when it hosts Florida Atlantic (10-13, 4-7).
Tipoff from E.A. Diddle Arena is tentatively set for 7:30 p.m., though that will depend on what time the WKU women’s hoops game which precedes it comes to an end.
The Toppers returned home from San Antonio on Sunday, then had an NCAA-mandated day off Monday.
