Western Kentucky put out its first depth chart Monday ahead of the Hilltoppers’ season opener Saturday against Eastern Kentucky.
There were few surprises, as the starters mostly matched the first-team players WKU had on the field when fall camp started July 31.
Two exceptions are on defense, where the Toppers lost cornerback De’Andre Simmons (knee injury) and defensive end Tanner Reeves (dismissal) during the past month.
Junior Carson Jordan, a transfer from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, is penciled in to start at Reeves’ old D-end spot, opposite team captain Derik Overstreet. Redshirt sophomore Nicholas Coffey is listed as Jordan’s backup.
