Junior Adams compares the options available to his offensive staff to the choices a baseball pitcher has at his disposal.
“You want to come into the games with different speeds and different pitches,” the Western Kentucky offensive coordinator said Tuesday. “Some pitchers got curveballs and some pitchers got fastballs. We want to be able to change the pace, be able to dictate the tempo to the defense.”
WKU delivered its fastball Saturday in the final minutes of a 33-21 win against Ball State. The Hilltoppers went to a fast-paced attack on an eight-play, 76-yard drive that resulted in Jakairi Moses’ game-winning touchdown run.
