The Hilltoppers will take an August trip to Costa Rica, coach Rick Stansbury said on his weekly radio show Monday night. More details on the trip are expected to be released in coming days.
The NCAA allows teams to take one overseas offseason trip every four years. While in Costa Rica, Stansbury said WKU will play four games during a week-long trip.
The Toppers will also get the benefit of 10 extra practice days, which Stansbury said the team will conduct in late July and the early part of August leading up to the trip.
“The most important thing on the trip is the 10 days of practice,” Stansbury said.
