WKU players finally got the chance to do that Monday when they took the field at Houchens-Smith Stadium for the first of 18 fall camp practices.
Monday was the first time freshmen like quarterback Davis Shanley, running back Joshua Samuel and wide receiver Jaquez Sloan took the field in an official WKU practice.
Henderson completed 165 of 314 passes last season for Butler County, tallying 2,472 yards and 29 touchdowns against seven interceptions. He also ran 162 times for 1,344 yards and 28 more TDs, leading the Bears to an 8-4 season.
