Western Kentucky added two more commitments to its 2019 football recruiting class Wednesday.
Cornerback Travares Springer (Maplewood HS, Nashville) and linebacker Desmond Johnson (Valdosta HS, Valdosta, Ga.) announced their commitments on Twitter on Wednesday.
Springer, listed as 6-foot-1, 185 pounds, is rated by 247Sports Composite as a three-star prospect ranked No. 1,965 overall in the Class of 2019, No. 186 among cornerbacks in the class and No. 60 among Tennesseans in the class.
Springer is the first cornerback and first Tennessean added to the Hilltoppers' Class of 2019 recruiting class. He held reported offers from Southern Miss, Liberty, Eastern Kentucky and several other FCS schools.
