Two of the most important days on Western Kentucky’s football calendar are coming up within less than a week of each other.
Saturday, the Hilltoppers will try to finish their 2017 season strong with a Cure Bowl victory. WKU (6-6) and Georgia State (6-6) will kick off at 1:30 p.m. CST in a game broadcast from Orlando, Fla., by CBS Sports Network.
Then Dec. 20 will bring college football’s first-ever early signing period. Coach Mike Sanford said WKU hopes to sign “a very, very good percentage” of its Class of 2018 commitments that day.
Sanford said Monday that it’s been a “complete hair-on-fire type of time” as Topper coaches balance Cure Bowl prep with solidifying a recruiting class.
