Higbee won't play in Senior Bowl

Former Western Kentucky tight end Tyler Higbee was not on the rosters for the Reese’s Senior Bowl released Thursday.

Higbee received and accepted an invite to the game, but he’s dealt with a sprained knee off and on since the original injury Oct. 15 at North Texas.

Higbee’s agency, Select Sports Group, could not be reached for comment.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound tight end would have been the third player in WKU history to play in the game, joining former TE Jack Doyle (2013) and RB Antonio Andrews (2014).

There’s still a chance Higbee could receive an invite to the NFL Scouting Combine in February.
