When Micah Jones returned to the court in Western Kentucky’s women's basketball exhibition against Young Harris last Thursday, it was significant from more than just a health standpoint.
Jones was making her first appearance since a season ending knee injury in the second game of last season against Louisville on Nov. 21.
Just shy of a year later, the Greensburg native was back as the starting point guard, fitted in a left leg brace, and played 18 minutes of the team’s 98-51 exhibition win.
Jones assumed her usual point guard duties like she’s done since her freshman year, but bouncing back from a year-long injury has had its challenges, Lady Toppers coach Michelle Clark-Heard said.
