Michelle Clark-Heard didn’t envision leaving the Gulf Coast Showcase with a losing record.
Western Kentucky didn’t shoot the ball well in two losses to No. 18 DePaul and George Washington and had to rally from a double-digit deficit to beat Kent State in overtime.
Heard said on her weekly radio show that playing three games in three days allowed the Lady Toppers to get an early preview of what a conference tournament setting will present.
“It showed a lot for our team,” Heard said on her weekly radio show Monday night. “Definitely did not end up the way we wanted.
