Damari Parris became new Western Kentucky coach Rick Stansbury’s first known commit Friday, announcing his decision to play for the Hilltoppers during a ceremony that was broadcast on Periscope.
Parris is a 6-foot-2 Class of 2016 point guard hailing from Evelyn Mack Academy in Charlotte, N.C.
Parris joins 6-foot, three-star combo guard TJ Howard – who signed last fall under former WKU coach Ray Harper – as known members of the Tops’ incoming freshman class.
“First and foremost, I’d like to thank all the colleges that have recruited me through this process,” Parris said on his Periscope broadcast.
