The forward averaged just 1.7 points and 1.8 rebounds per game as a redshirt junior last season for Kansas. He was a back-of-the-rotation player for a Jayhawks team that went to the Elite Eight.
But Coleby’s production was limited by a knee injury he sustained while sitting out the 2015-16 season with Kansas after transferring from Mississippi. The 6-foot-9 forward recovered in time to appear in 24 games last season, but he didn’t round into form until the end of the season.
Coleby elected to leave Lawrence, Kan., this offseason as a graduate transfer. The Nassau, Bahamas native chose Western Kentucky as the school to play his final season of college basketball.
