Michelle Clark-Heard is focused on this season, where her Western Kentucky team is off to a 6-2 start.
But she knows her Lady Toppers have a lot of potential down the road.
They’ll only lose one senior, forward Jalynn McClain, off their 2015-16 roster for next season. Meanwhile, WKU will bring back injured point guard Micah Jones and welcome three Class of 2016 signees.
The Lady Toppers can also suit up three transfers – Jaycee Coe, Kyvin Goodin-Rogers and Kayla Styles – who are sitting out this season due to NCAA rules.
“As a coach you always just try to live in the moment and that’s what I’m really trying to do with this group,” Heard told the Daily News on Tuesday.
