GAME STORY: WKU beats La. Tech for Heard's 100th win

Michelle Clark-Heard has brought her alma mater back into the top 25, won two conference tournament titles and reestablished Western Kentucky as one of the nation’s best mid-majors.

Now Heard has reached a milestone of her own.

Heard won her 100th game as head coach of the Lady Toppers on Saturday night as her team notched a 69-58 victory against Louisiana Tech on the road in Ruston, La.

The former WKU player is now 100-30 in her four years at the helm of the Lady Topper program. She became just the 18th coach in NCAA history to reach 100 wins in her first four years at the Division I level.
