GAME PREVIEW: WKU rides road-game momentum into matchup at Charlotte

Western Kentucky is developing toughness at the right time of year.

At least that’s what women's basketball coach Michelle Clark-Heard sees from her Lady Toppers on the heels of back-to-back clutch road wins.

WKU methodically worked its way back from a 12-point deficit Thursday, then pulled away in overtime for an 85-74 win at Old Dominion. Four days before that, the Lady Toppers continually held back a pesky Marshall team for an 80-76 road victory.

The Lady Toppers carry that momentum into the last of three straight road games Saturday, a 6 p.m. CST tipoff at Charlotte.
