Former WKU football player's case is continued

A Warren County district court hearing involving a professional football player and WKU alumnus was continued Monday.

Tyler Higbee was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot) and alcohol intoxication in a public place after an incident outside of Tidball's Bar April 10, 2016.

Attorney Brian Lowder, who is representing Higbee, said he hopes there will be an agreement with the Commonwealth before the next hearing. Lowder could not recall the new court date.

Lowder said they are close to reaching a fair agreement and setting a final court date to dispose of the case.
