A break came at the right time for Western Kentucky.
After picking up four wins – three on the road – in a nine-day stretch, Lady Topper players and coaches got the chance to go home to their families and relax for a few days around Christmas.
Coach Michelle Clark-Heard said the break was a “really good” chance for her young WKU squad to recharge its batteries before playing a final non-conference game.
That contest will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in E.A. Diddle Arena against Belmont.
“Everyone got a chance to get some rest and get their legs back under them and was ready to come back and ready to get on the court and play,” Heard told the Daily News.
