BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — With a Thursday season opener, the Hilltoppers wrapped up their version of a Thursday practice on Tuesday as they close out preparation for a 7 p.m. kickoff against Conference USA foe Rice.
On Friday, head coach Jeff Brohm put to rest the biggest question around the program since December’s Miami Beach Bowl by naming junior Mike White the starting quarterback for the opener. White, a transfer from South Florida, sat out last season due to NCAA transfer requirements and will take the first snap on Thursday.
