Senior Bowl Honor | Lou Groza Award
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Senior Taywan Taylor and kicker Skyler Simcox garnered national attention for their performances in the team’s thrilling, 44-43 double-overtime victory over rival Middle Tennessee on Saturday afternoon.
Taylor earned Offensive Senior of the Week honors from the Reese’s Senior Bowl, while Simcox was named a Lou Groza Award Star of the Week. It’s the first such recognition for each Hilltopper, while Simcox was also Conference USA Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday.
