Western Kentucky running back D'Andre Ferby couldn't catch his breath for an interview after Monday's spring practice.
The redshirt sophomore earned some extra post-practice work with a few other running backs after fumbling the ball during the team's fourth spring session.
"The main thing right now is just ball security," Ferby said between large heaves of breath. "Coming back in the spring from being off, you're going to have some miscues, but you want to get that nipped in the bud right now."
New WKU running backs coach Chris Barclay will accept nothing less.
The former star back at Wake Forest is holding an experienced Hilltopper running back group to high standards heading into next season.
