So when the chance came for Evans to reunite with them this summer for The Basketball Tournament, he didn’t hesitate.
“A lot of times after you finish your college career you don’t get the opportunity to play with these guys, let alone on a stage this big,” the former Western Kentucky forward Evans told the Daily News this week. “Sometimes they get out of shape or they’re just done playing.
“Just to have guys that still play and were able to come together and play like we were in college, it’s great.”
The Basketball Tournament is an annual five-on-five, single-elimination tourney.
