In its final home match of the regular season, Western Kentucky's women's tennis team fell 4-1 to East Tennessee State on Thursday at the WKU Tennis Complex.
The Lady Toppers finished the regular season with an 11-5 overall record, which is the best winning percentage at WKU since the 2000-01 campaign.
ETSU came out strong in doubles to take an early 1-0 lead. WKU’s Natalia De Ugarte and Cindy Oest faced Alory Pereira and Yu Chi Ma on court two and lost, 6-3. To claim the doubles point, the Bucs’ No. 1 duo knocked off Andreanna Christopoulou and Lisa Friess, 6-3.
