For the second time in the last three weeks, Western Kentucky women's basketball freshman Raneem Elgedawy has been selected as the Conference USA Freshman of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon following her first career double-double in WKU’s win over Evansville last Thursday.
The honor is Elgedawy’s second of her young WKU career and marks the first time that any Lady Topper has earned multiple C-USA Freshman of the Week awards in the same season since Tashia Brown accomplished the feat three times during the 2014-15 campaign.
