Western Kentucky golfers Billy Tom Sargent and Stuart Easton each shot a 2-over 74 in Monday’s second round of the 2018 Conference USA Championship, the best rounds in the event by a Hilltopper thus far.
The redshirt junior Sargent, who led WKU in the first round, is tied for 22nd individually with a two-round total of 149 (75-74) at the par-72, 6,969-yard Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark.
“The course has played pretty tough,” Sargent said in a news release. “The greens have firmed up quite a bit, even though we had quite a bit of rain after the practice round.
