Dangerfield, Grant take WKU's receiver prowess to NFL level

Western Kentucky's history with receivers in the NFL – and just with standout receivers in general – is limited.

Jared Dangerfield and Antwane Grant hope they're starting a trend to change that.

The Hilltopper wideouts have led WKU's emergence in the passing game over the last few seasons, and their production was rewarded last weekend with NFL contracts as undrafted free agents.

"We're trying to turn it into Wide Receiver U now," Dangerfield told the Daily News this week. "They've been known for their linebackers, running backs and tight ends, but now me and Antwane wanted to make the school known for receivers.
